School Safety and Crossing Guards

The School Safety Program is responsible for helping elementary school children at traffic crossings. School Crossing Guards are trained and certified to Florida Department of Transportation Standards. School Crossing Guards strive to ensure the safety of children as they walk to and from school while teaching and modeling pedestrian safety. This service is provided throughout the County to elementary school crossings at the recommendations of the School Crossing Evaluation Committee.
