Advanced / Specialized Courses

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office Training Academy offers Advanced and Specialized Training Courses for professionals working as law enforcement.

Officers: See calendar and course flyers below. Contact your agency's authorized training representative to facilitate your registration for classes, with approval by the appropriate chain of command.

  • Training Authorization Forms are required for all officers to attend classes.

  • MOST CLASSES ARE TUITION TRUST FUNDED FOR REGION VII SWORN OFFICERS. Seating priority will be given to sworn officers of the Volusia Sheriff’s Office first, then remaining Region VII officers. Seats are available to all others on a space-available basis only.

  • Attendance Policy: Full attendance is mandatory for all Advanced & Specialized Courses.

Any Questions? Contact the Training Academy Administrator at BRose@volusiasheriff.gov with questions about the registration process.

Classes may be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met.

There must be sufficient attendance to support the costs to run classes.
