CALEA Accreditation

The Volusia Sheriff's Office's commitment to high performance standards and efficient, effective delivery of law enforcement services was recognized in 1991, when we became the 189th agency to be internationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., or CALEA. The Volusia Sheriff’s Office also participates in Public Safety Communications and Public Safety Training Academy Accreditation programs provided by CALEA.
