V1 was woken up to a phone call from S1 on 10/07/2026, who claimed V1's daughter was in jail and needed bond money.  V1 scrambled to his bank and obtained the necessary funds to send S1 the funds through BITCOIN ATMs in Orlando and in Volusia County.  V1 was then told he had a warrant and S1 needed more money, which lead V1 to being suspicious of being scammed.  V1 is out approximately $26,700.00 in funds from this common scam.  FCU was notified and the proper documentation was collected.

V1 lives with O1, O2, O3, and S1 and keeps the majority of her cash within a safe under her bed in her bedroom.  V1 kept approximately $4000.00 in her safe before leaving for vacation and left the key to her safe in her closet.  S1 was left in charge of the residence while all other members of the family left for vacation.  S1 suddenly and without announcement left the residence with the majority of his belongings.  Upon V1's return home she observed her safe empty of the cash.  O1 located a Walgreens receipt with a transaction of $900.00 by his favorite smoking chair indicating he had put cash onto a re-useable debit card. S1 is currently unable to be located and his whereabouts are unknown. Case is active.

V1 and V2 share a vehicle and they are the only two people allowed to drive the vehicle.  D1 told V2 he was involved in an accident where he left the scene of the crash on 10/06/2026 and needed to go get the vehicle (DL260004378).  V1 and V2 wished to pursue criminal charges for theft of the vehicle after learning it had been taken without permission, crashed, and totaled.  The vehicle is currently impounded at C&S. Post Miranda warnings D1 admitted to stealing and crashing the vehicle.
