V1 intentionally parked his vehicle on the railroad tracks.  W1 and W2 made contact with V1 and  successfully dragged V1 off the tracks moments before a train struck V1's vehicle. 

Edgewater PD arrived on scene and deployed a taser due to V1 being combative. V1 made spontaneous utterances asking EPD to shoot him.  V1 was eventually secured in handcuffs and placed under a Baker Act.

The VSO watch commander and chain of command were notified.

Deputies completed an exhaustive and thorough investigation regarding an unoccupied car burglary that was reported on 7/2/24.

After countless interviews and follow-ups, D1, a juvenile, was taken into custody and charged accordingly.  D1 was transported to the Family Resource Center and Director Quann was notified.

V1 was riding his motorized minibike on Elizabeth Street.  D1, who is V1's neighbor, did not like this and confronted V1. 

A verbal altercation ensued, which led to D1 pushing V1.  D1 was arrested for the applicable offense and taken to VCBJ.
