A BOLO was disseminated in reference to a signal 10 suspect vehicle from DeLand PD's case (DL240002338). The vehicle was tracked from Lake County, through District 2, and into District 4. District 4 deputies obtained PC for a stop and attempted however the vehicle fled back towards District 2. Orange City PD stuck the vehicle and the sole occupant bailed out at the Truist Bank at Woodland/Orange Camp. K9 deployed and bit D1 in the left forearm. D1 was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and was arrested for fleeing/eluding. DeLand PD took possession of the vehicle as evidence.

V1 left his residence at approximately 0945 hours with his girlfriend. Upon his return at 1852 hours, V1 observed the front door to the residence was defaced and had an ink pen shoved into the lock.

Law enforcement cleared the residence and observed the interior in disarray. V1 noted two interior doors were damaged.

The Crime Suppression Team assisted members of WVNTF and DNET with an operation targeting the illegal sale of alcohol to underage customers.  The operation resulted in 13 unlawful sales to a person under 21. 

CST later attempted several warrants yielding two arrests.

V1 and D1 have been in a relationship for five months but do not reside together. V1 and D1 were in a verbal which escalated to physical when D1 pushed V1's face into a window and struck her.

There were no visible injuries and D1 was arrested without incident. D1 was charged with battery and transported to VCBJ.

On 04/23/2024, VSO was notified by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office that they completed a report reference possible a domestic violence incident that occurred in Volusia. A followup was completed and contact was made with V1.

V1 stated she and S1 have been in an on-again, off-again relationship. They have resided together in the past as a family unit but do not currently.

They were driving on S.R. 44 heading toward Lake County when S1 got irate and grabbed V1 by the throat while she was driving. S1 did not constrict V1's breathing.

V1 will prosecute and did not require medical attention. A pass-on affidavit was completed.

V1 and D1 were in a verbal altercation in front of V1's residence. V1 and D1 are ex -boyfriend/girlfriend and have a child in common. V1 retreated into her residence due to believing there was a previous no-violent contact order in place.

D1 began banging on the front door in an attempt to enter. D1 claimed he was only attempting to collect his phone. V1 attempted to provide D1 with his phone through the window when D1 punched and shattered the window, broke the threshold, and took his phone from V1.

D1 left the residence and returned to his residence down the street. Multiple children inside V1’s  residence at the time of the incident confirmed D1 was attempting to make forced entry to the residence before punching the window.

D1 was arrested for Attempted occupied burglary and criminal mischief. Director Quann was notified.

V1 and D1 were in a verbal altercation over a cooler and clothing. D1 threw some of V1's clothing into the driveway. While V1 was bending down to pick up her clothing, D1 picked up a bag with multiple objects inside with significant weight and struck V1 in the head.

D1 was attempting to strike V1 a second time when V1 sprayed him with pepper spray in self-defense. V2 observed the altercation and attempted to intervene by ushering D1 away with a rake in her hands.

D1 forcibly removed the rake from V2's hands, causing her to fall and injure her arm. V2 is visibly pregnant. While V2 was on the ground, D1 raised the rake as if he were going to strike V2. V2 was able to get away without any further injury. It was later learned, V2 was struck by D1 in the head with the bag and pushed into the garage door.

D1 fled the area prior to law enforcement’s arrival. Deputies formed a perimeter, and Air One and K9 responded to locate D1, which was unsuccessful. D1 was later located at on W. Beresford Ave., sleeping inside his vehicle. He was arrested for DV-aggravated battery and DV-battery on a pregnant person. D1 was transported to VCBJ.

V1 and D1 were in a verbal altercation. D1 got upset and threw a glass bottle of hot sauce at V1, attempting to hit her but missed. D1 then engaged V1 in a physical altercation by pinning her down and hitting her multiple times in the face.

W1 attempted to separate the two but was unsuccessful. V1 attempted to fend off D1 in self-defense, which caused D1 to strike his head on something in the kitchen and cut himself. V1 is D1's stepdaughter and they resided together in the past.

D1 was arrested for Aggravated Assault-DV and simple battery-DV. D1 was transported to the hospital for medical clearance and later taken to VCBJ.
