V1 advised he left his handgun in his vehicle over the weekend and now it cannot be found.  V1 claims the firearm was last seen inside his vehicle; however, due to not being sure where the incident took place along with the fact of advising his brother may have taken the firearm, it is unknown if the firearm was actually obtained from the vehicle.  There were signs a car break had occurred, and no other information or evidence was available at the time of report.  The firearm was entered into FCIC/NCIC as stolen.  Case status: Active.

V1 arrived to the LOI in his 2013 black Mazda (FL tag FZA7S) looking for his phone. V1 left the vehicle unlocked with the key in the ignition. When V1 exited he discovered the vehicle missing. Deputies responded and began searching the area for the vehicle. V1 believed D1 took his vehicle. While in contact with V1, D1 arrived on foot. Shortly after her arrival, deputies located V1's vehicle around the block at S Blue Lake Av/Oak Cir. After multiple different stories, D1 finally admitted to stealing V1's vehicle. D1 was arrested for grand theft motor vehicle and possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

V-1 was visiting her mother, D-1, while her legal guardian was at work. V-1 stated that she and D-1 got into a verbal argument, which turned physical when D-1 punched V-1 in the head twice, causing a minor contusion to her forehead. The incident was reported to law enforcement after V-1's legal guardian observed the injuries and was advised of the above by V-1. Deputies responded to the location of incident, where D-1 was located, and refused to speak with law enforcement. Probable cause was established, and D-1 was placed under arrest, charged accordingly, and transported to the VCBJ. Director Quann, along with DCF, was notified.

CST conducted proactive enforcement in 23 zone with emphasis on transient encampments known for narcotics activity.  CST later conducted a traffic stop in which four undocumented immigrants were located. Upon consultation with ICE it was determined the four were a priority for removal and detainers were immediately issued.  The driver was arrested for no DL and the remaining three were turned over to ICE via FHP.

V1 and S1 were sitting in V1's vehicle, a 2025 Mercedes C-Class, discussing a large narcotics transaction. S1 produced a dark colored firearm and demanded V1 exit the vehicle, before he fled the scene in her car. The vehicle was located shortly thereafter, unoccupied. Watch Commander and ISS were notified. CSU responded to the scene and processed the vehicle. S1 was unable to be located, therefore a pass-on affidavit was completed for oncoming shifts.

UPDATE: On 08/07/25, S1, now D1, was contacted by patrol and taken into custody without incident.
