The Crime Suppression Team assisted WVNTF and ODTF with an ongoing investigation.  CST later conducted proactive enforcement in 24 and 25 zones, resulting in four arrests and the seizure of narcotics and paraphernalia.  In addition, CST responded to assist with a fleeing burglary suspect vehicle on I-95.

D1 fled from DeLand PD in a blue Ford Escape. Sgt Medina located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop which resulted in the vehicle fleeing from him. D1 was positively identified by DeLand PD.

Orange City PD located the vehicle on Rebecca Ln., OC. D1 was later located at the Hotel Blue in DeLand. Post-Miranda, D1 denied driving the vehicle despite being seen by multiple LEOs. D1 was arrested for multiple counts of fleeing/eluding LEO w/ lights and sirens active and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.

V-1 sent her son's therapist, W-1, a suicidal text message stating she was going to kill herself. Deputies responded to V-1's residence and initially received no answer.

AIR One and deputies extensively searched the area while attempting to track her location. V-1 was later located at her residence uninjured after deputies contacted V-1's juvenile son, who allowed deputies into the residence.

V-1 was placed into protective custody under the Baker Act. The Watch Commander and Director Quann were notified of the incident.

D-1 entered the Walmart Neighborhood Market and selected various merchandise items, which were then concealed in D-1's purse.

Loss Prevention Officer W-1 stopped D-1, at which time D-1 fled the scene on foot. D-1 was located down the road and was taken into custody.

D-1 admitted to the offense, and all merchandise was recovered. D-1 was charged accordingly and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.

CST later conducted proactive enforcement in the area of S.R. 44 and the county line, which resulted in three arrests and the seizure of methamphetamine and prescription pills.
