D1 and V1 were in a romantic relationship and lived together as a family unit. During a verbal argument over a space heater, D1 pushed V1, causing him to fall and injure his knee. Both par-ties provided corroborating statements, in which D1 admitted to pushing V1. D1 was arrested and charged accordingly.

Deputies responded to the LOI in reference to D1 having suicidal thoughts. While taking D1 into custody, he became irate and spit on his father, V1. D1 was arrested for simple battery-DV.

CST conducted proactive enforcement in the Spring Hill area and attempted to locate a wanted person.  CST later conducted a crime suppression operation in 22 zone with the assistance of narcotics detectives and county motors.  Efforts resulted in seven arrests, 20 citations and the arrest of a suspected illegal immigrant with an ICE detainer. A portion of overtime was funded through FDLE's Project Safe Neighborhoods grant program.

V1 reported she was walking down the road and an unknown subject stopped next to her and offered a ride.  As she placed her purse in the vehicle the suspect grabbed her purse while she was still outside the vehicle and her hand was still on her purse. The suspect drove away and dragged V1 for a short distance until she let go. The scratches she showed from the incident appeared old as they were already scabbed over. V1 mentioned she was missing a shoe, which deputies were able to locate in front of 1522 Orange Avenue.  CID responded and assumed the investigation.  Case is continued active.

V1 was holding a portable phone when D1 grabbed it from her hand and tossed it into the next room.  V2 witnessed this event and picked up the phone and attempted to put it back together.  D1 grabbed the phone from V2 and threw it into the pool.  V1 and V2 had corroborating statements, and the phone was observed to be broken and wet.  D1 was charged accordingly and transported to the branch jail.

While investigating 260000997, V1 provided video footage of an incident that occurred the night prior.  The video footage showed D1 striking V1 in the stomach.  D1 was arrested and charged accordingly.

D1 and V1 were traveling to D1's parents house in Deland. D1 and V1 were in a verbal argument when D1 strangled V1 causing her airway to be restricted. D1 snatched V1's phone from her grasp and stated, "I left marks on you, now I have to kill you" and pointed a silver handgun at V1. V1 pulled into a gas station and fled on foot where she searched for help to call 911. Later deputies arrived on scene after someone called advising there were people banging on their windows. Contact was made with D1 at his mother's residence. He was questioned and lied several times. The handgun that was described was observed on the passenger seat of his truck; the phone's whereabouts are still unknown. Due to the vehicle being parked and unoccupied on private property, it was towed to evidence and sealed for CID to obtain a search warrant.

On 1-13-2026 D1 followed V1 into his room pestering him about food in his room. V1 began recording while this was happening and D1 struck V1 multiple times and then left the room. V1 captured the incident on video which Deputy Merhib observed and determined a battery occurred. Night shift deputies assisted Bravo shift and placed D1 into custody for simple battery DV.

V2 (4 years old) was pestering D1 (13 years old), who retaliated by punching V2. V1 (their mother) got in between the two siblings and D1 also struck V1 with a closed fist.  D1 was charged accordingly, and Director Quann was notified. D1 had to be hobbled and chest restrained for his safety.

D1 was being taken into custody under a BA when he fled on foot. Deputies apprehended the suspect at which point he kicked Deputy Shaheen in the groin area. D1 was finally taken into custody and placed in the back of the patrol vehicle to be transported to VCBJ.
