V1 reported closing the shop on Friday, 5/01/2026, and returning on 5/04/2026. V1 discovered the rear garage door open, displaying pry marks and significant damage. V1 determined that several power tools were stolen, valued at approximately $1,500. Neighborhood canvas was conducted. Case active.

V1 reported she walked to her driveway and notice the driver's-side window to her vehicle was shattered. The vehicle had been parked on the driveway for about six years. Nothing inside the vehicle was disturbed. V1 advised her dog started barking around 0100 hours. A further investigation determined nothing inside the vehicle was taken. Case active.

The store manager observed a customer leave the store, pushing a shopping cart full of items, passing all points of sale without attempting to pay. Value stolen was $83.95. Case active.

V1 and S1 are engaged, share a child in common, and reside together as a family unit. 

V1 reported that during a prior argument, S1 pulled her from a bed, pushed her, and prevented her from leaving the residence. V1 stated she delayed reporting because she was in fear. V1 provided photographs and an audio recording supporting her statement. Evidence was collected and probable cause was established for Battery and False Imprisonment. S1 was located at the LOI, however refused to meet with deputies. Director Quann and DCF were notified due to a juvenile present.

CST conducted proactive enforcement in 21 and 22 Zones in response to an uptick in criminal activity in the area.  Efforts resulted in 10 person and vehicle stops, three citations, and three FI's.  CST assisted patrol with calls for service and located a wanted person.

Volusia County School Security was notified via Gaggle of a student emailing a word document to a teacher which included a threat toward teachers and a threat of conducting a shooting on the last day of school at McInnis Elementary. Director Quann was notified and the Behavioral Threat Assessment Team responded. Upon further investigation, D1 was arrested and transported to the FRC.
