A passerby reported seeing an unoccupied vehicle crashed into a ditch in the 2900 blk of Old New York Ave., Deland.

Deputies conducted an attempt to contact at V-1's address and talked with her daughter, who advised her mother had parked her vehicle at the Amtrak Station in DeLand on 12/4/2024 and left for a cruise.

A follow-up investigation will be completed with V-1. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Pratts Towing and taken to its impound lot.

V1 and S1 were in a verbal argument when S1 threw food at V1 and then shoved her down on a bed. S1 fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

Deputies determined this incident to be DV and checked several locations for S1 but did not locate him. A pass-on affidavit was completed.

The incident occurred in the presence of V1's juvenile daughter; the report was forwarded to DCF for review.

The Crime Suppression Team was assigned to assist Deland PD with the annual DeLand Christmas Parade. 

CST deputies later conducted proactive enforcement in Deltona in response to a recent car break and vehicle theft trend there. CST located and arrested the driver of a vehicle which fled from patrol, and seized cocaine paraphernalia.

R-1, who is a surveyor, located a grenade in a vacant wooded lot across from the location of the incident. R-1 immediately called law enforcement. The VSO Bomb Team responded and determined the device was a Bluetooth speaker.

The Crime Suppression Team conducted proactive enforcement in the Grand Avenue corridor, resulting in seven arrests and the seizure of methamphetamine.  CST also assisted Seminole County detectives with serving an arrest warrant for Lewd & Lascivious acts in Orange City.

D2 CST deputies later teamed with D4 CST to conduct a proactive operation in Deltona in response to a recent uptick in car breaks and auto thefts.
