V1 and D1 are divorced and have two children in common. On today's date V1 advised D1 arrived at the residence to retrieve a cellphone he gave to his daughter. D1 refused to leave and placed in foot in the threshold of the door preventing the door to be closed. V1 advised that D1 was then attempting to push his way inside the residence. V1 advised during the altercation she told D1 that she was 7 weeks pregnant and he responded by telling her "Congratulations". V1 advised the altercation continued. D1 wrapped both his arms around her and took the cellphone from her. V1 was not injured during the incident and declined medical attention. V1 had visible redness on her neck consistent with D1 grabbing her. V1's children were on scene and corroborated the sequence of events. A neighbor across the street, who reported the incident to 911, recorded part of the altercation on video. This video was collected as evidence. The video also corroborated V1's statement. D1 was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Burglary with Battery and Aggravated Battery on a pregnant person. He was transported to VCBJ without incident. Director Quann was notified of the incident.

Deputies responded to the above residence in reference to a burglary in progress. D1 unlawfully/ forcibly entered the residence through a window. A perimeter was established, and although initial contact was made, D1 retreated into the garage and hid in the attic. V1 responded to the residence, confirmed no one had permission to be in the residence and that she had no idea who D1 was.  With assistance from Deltona Fire Rescue, deputies accessed the attic and took the D1 into custody. D1 initially provided a false name and had to be identified through Rapid ID. A subsequent inventory of D1's vehicle revealed a stolen cello and other items valued at approximately $2,800, linked to a prior burglary at the same residence. The defendant was medically cleared and transported to VCBJ. D1 was charged with 2 counts of Burglary, Grand Theft, Giving False Identity, Resisting an Officer Without Violence.

V1 and D1 previously resided together as a family unit. V1 reported that while at D1's residence doing her niece's hair, D1 became intoxicated and argumentative, prompting V1 to leave. When V1 entered a bedroom to get her 3 year-old daughter, D1 blocked the doorway and struck V1 multiple times as V1 attempted to leave with O1 in her arms. After D1 moved away, V1 gathered her belongings, but D1 then jabbed V1 in the stomach with the bristle end of a broom. V1 was able to exit the residence and contacted law enforcement. D1 was determined to be the primary aggressor and was transported to the VCBJ. Director Quann was notified in addition to DCF.

On 08/15/26 at approximately 0410 hours, V1 began loading his truck for a boating trip and placed his firearm in the storage compartment under the front bench seat. Between 0410 and 0553 hours, V1 left the driver-side door open while making multiple trips into the residence, leaving the vehicle unattended for over an hour. Upon arriving at a boat ramp in Flagler County, V1 discovered the firearm missing. No other property was taken, and V1 could not provide the serial number. A neighborhood canvass and latent print processing produced no additional leads

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5'8, wearing black pants, black shirt, black hat and a black and white jacket. The suspect left in a white van that was occuppied by a unknown white male driver. Deputies were able to obtain the license plate and located the vehicle at the registered owner's address. Deputies attempted to make contact with the RO but were met with negative results. An intel bulletin was generated and disemminated in an attempt to identify the suspect(s).

V1 and S1 are father and daughter who reside together as a family. V1 advised S1 was attempting to take away her cell phone, that she purchased and pays for, and she refused to give it to him. V1 advised she was on the floor with the phone underneath her. S1 was grabbing her arms and legs attempting to pry them apart to retrieve the phone. When S1 was unsuccessful, he grabbed V1 and slammed her to the ground multiple times. V1 advised S1 then picked her up and threw her into her bad causing her to strike her head on the metal frame. V1 had multiple bruises to her arms and legs consistent with being grabbed. The incident was also witnesses by S1's girlfriend W1, who provided a statement. A 707 Pass-on affidavit was completed for Child Abuse because S1 was unable to be located. Director Quann and DCF were both notified of this incident.
