D1 and V1 are husband/wife who live together as a family unit and have children in common. D1 and V1 were in a verbal argument when D1 proceeded to pin V1 down by her arms causing bruising. D1 also slapped V1 in the face causing additional bruising. D1 was subsequently arrested for battery (DV).
