V1 contacted the VSO in reference to a fraud.  He stated he received a phone call from a person claiming to be a family member, complaining they were in legal trouble.  The caller advised being arrested and was in the presence of their lawyer. 

The caller advised they needed nearly $10,000 to pay bail.  V1 told the caller he was only able to access a portion of the money.

V1 followed instructions to withdraw the funds, place it in a small box, and wait for a courier to pick it up.  V1 states a vehicle arrived and an unknown male took possession of the box and left. 

V1 completed a written statement advising he wished to pursue charges.
