R1, an employee of V1, parked his assigned work truck in his front yard near the road, unlocked. Between the reported timelapse, unknown person(s) accessed the truck and rifled through the interior, stealing a black Apple Ipad also belonging to V1 from within. Neighborhood canvas yielded no witness/cameras, attempts to obtain latent prints were unsuccessful, but a cardboard box apparently manipulated by the suspect(s) was submitted to evidence for processing.

Pastor (R1) of the New Life Church arrived at the LOI and located graffiti on the sidewalk written with an orange marker. The graffiti was multiple vulgar, sexual statements and drawings. The suspect also left a calling card "CJ was here and I love Kass to the moon and back". Incident was caught on camera, and a possible suspect was identified. R1 will prosecute.

T/L- 05/05/2026.  V1, who is 18 years old, waited four (4) days to call LEOs and notify us that an unknown subject had taken his (V1's) E-Bike (a black Go Trax Z4 Lite) from the LOI.  V1 advised they (V1) also had an Air Tag on the E-Bike, and it (the Air Tag) was gone as well.  V1 stated the Air Tag last registered in Daytona Beach on 05/08/2026 @ 1717 hours.  Somehow, V1 (who also attends Mainland High School) found out that another student at Mainland High School possibly stole the E-Bike.  V1 did not have a serial number for the E-Bike and Director Quann was notified to potential help identify who the juvenile is.

T/L- 05/08/2026 @ 1815 hours.  V1 came home (i.e., the LOI) to find smoke inside of the garage.  V1 then entered the main part of the house to find much more smoke emanating throughout the residence.  The smoke was so debilitating, that V1 had to exit the residence to call for help, and was unable to find their dog (which was located somewhere within the LOI).  Help arrived, the dog was located (safe and sound) and the fire was extinguished.  Initial investigation revealed that an unknown suspect unlawfully entered the LOI by breaking a window to the garage and subsequently setting fire to the bed located in the master bedroom.  On call detectives, CSU, and the State Fire Marshal responded to aid in the investigation.  As the investigation progressed, S1 became a prime suspect as being the one responsible for the event.  Why?  Because S1 is V1's ex-boyfriend, and he (S1) had been kicked out of the LOI earlier this week.  Also, during a canvass of the neighborhood, S1 was spotted on a neighboring video surveillance camera coming to (and subsequently leaving) the area during the time frame of when the burglary and arson took place.  Detectives had an idea where S1 might be, and with the help of patrol, they (S1) were located and interviewed.  S1 (now D1, spoiler alert) admitted to breaking into the house, going into V1's bedroom, and setting her (V1's) drugs on fire on the bed.  D1 was arrested for all applicable offenses and taken to VCBJ.

D1 and V1 are boyfriend/girlfriend, living together at the LOI as a family unit.  A verbal altercation turned physical when D1 allegedly put his (D1's) arm around V1's neck (not restricting her breathing) against her (V1's) will.  D1, who has a prior conviction for battery, was arrested for the applicable offense and taken to VCBJ.

T/L- 05/08/2026 @ approximately 0153 hours.  R1, who is the owner of Sky's Pies, arrived at their business on 05/08/2026 (around 0800 hours) to start making some pizza's. R1 arrived to a bunch of broken glass from the business' front window. Turns out that on 05/08/2026, at approximately 0153 hours, a group of unknown individuals from the Hideout Lounge were fighting outside of that establishment. The group migrated towards the LOI, and the fighting possibly resulted in the front window being broken.  R1 advised the cost to fix the window would be greater than $1K.  There is video that captured the fight which might aid in the vandalism investigation.
