Deputies responded to V1's residence after receiving a WBC from his brother, after not hearing from V1 for a couple of days. V1 is frail and has fallen before and been unable get himself up in the bast. Deputies responded and observed, through a window, V1 lying unconscious on the floor of the kitchen. Deputies called for medical assistance and made forced entry through a window. V1 was found to be alive and was transported to the hospital.

A friend of V1 arrived at the LOI to check on V1 after not returning her calls for a planned engagement today. The friend located V1 deceased inside of the bathroom and notified law enforcement. Narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia were discovered in the residence. CID responded to the scene to further the investigation.

V1 was confronted by D1 in front of the business due to D1 believing V1 said something about D1's children. The confrontation turned physical when D1 issued a head-butt and several strikes to V1. After the confrontation, D1 entered the store and V1 separated near the gas pumps. D1 then ran from the store, retrieved an approx. 8" scimitar from his truck, and charged V1 in the parking lot, making several aggressive gestures to V1 as if he was going to stab V1. D1 was charged with the applicable offenses and taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail.

V1 and D1 are in a relationship and reside together at the LOI in an RV/van. V1 and D1 began arguing which culminated in D1 biting his own lip and spitting the blood upon V1's shirt numerous times. Upon Deputy arrival, D1 fled the scene on foot. After a short foot pursuit, D1 was apprehended, charged with the applicable offenses and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.
