V1 and W1 returned home to find D1 intoxicated. V1 confronted D1 about his drinking. D1 became angry and struck V1 on the left side of his face with a closed fist. D1 then exited the residence while W1 contacted law enforcement. V1 and W1 swore to their verbally provided statements. Digital photographs were collected and all necessary DV paperwork was completed. While in custody, D1 intentionally lunged his body into the deputy while attempting to prevent being secured in safety restraint devices. D1 continued his distaste for deputies by verbally threatening to harm and kill them. D1 was charged accordingly and transported to jail. Case Status: CBA.

S1 called and text V1, his ex-girlfriend approximately 60 times on 10/07/2026, during the overnight hours. V1 stated she and S1 were in romantic relationship when they resided together as a family. V1 said S1 has reached out to her mother claiming severe allegations about V1 and her stepfather. V1 advised S1's messages consisted of him apologizing for his actions and seeking forgiveness. V1 said S1's calls and text made her feel uncomfortable. V1 stated she has left her primary home in Ormond Beach to stay with her mother due to S1's actions. V1 completed a sworn statement detailing she wanted to pursue charges. All necessary DV paperwork to include a Lethality Assessment was completed. Digital photographs of the call and text log were collected. S1 resides outside of Volusia County. Case Status: Active.

V1 purchased a utility trailer from S1 whom he met on Facebook Marketplace. V1 became suspicious of the transaction after noticing the VIN sticker had been removed. A VIN verification revealed the VIN listed on the title provided for the trailer was reported stolen out of Hillsborough County jurisdiction. V1 completed a sworn written statement detailing he wished to pursue charges. Digital photographs of the message threads were collected. V1 likely has video footage of S1 during the incident but it could not be accessed while deputies were on scene. The trailer was seized and towed to VSO Evidence. Case Status: Active.

R1 was notified by W1 her storage unit was broken into and appeared items to have gone missing.  R1 notified V1 of the incident whose belongings were stolen from the unit.  V1 advised approximately $2,000.00 worth of climbing equipment and two suitcases were stolen.  W1 personally knows S1 and S2 and S1 was observed on video surveillance entering storage unit E290 for an extended period of time before entering the passenger side of a black KIA and leaving the scene. ISS and Crime Scene responded to the scene.

V1 stated D1 and D2 followed her and O1 back to their residence after a minor road rage incident. V1 advised D2 approached V1 in her driveway and threw a phone charger at V1 striking her in the legs. O1 came to V1's defense and was confronted by D1 who according to V1 had a baseball bat. D1 shoved V1 out of the way and in turn V1 struck D1 in the face multiple times to prevent D1 from striking O1. D1 entered the vehicle and drove down the road before reversing quickly back toward V1. The physical incident was captured on V1's home security camera. W1 personally witnessed D1 reversing the vehicle toward V1. V1 completed a sworn written statement detailing she wanted to pursue charges. W1 completed a sworn written statement. V1 did not sustain any visible injuries and digital photographs were collected. The video footage of the incident was also collected. D1 and D2 were determined to be the primary aggressors and were arrested before being transported to jail. Case Status: CBA.

On 10/07/2026, V1 had a virtual meeting with her therapist and described an incident related to a disturbance involving a firearm with D1 on 10/04/2026. Deputies spoke with V1 and W1 who advised D1 became upset with V1 after she broke TV during an argument. D1 threw punches at V1 striking her in the right arm. D1 then went inside, retrieved a revolver, and pointed it at V1 and W1. V1 stated she was in a well-founded fear for her safety by D1's actions; however, W1 advised she was not. V1 and W1 separated themselves from D1. V1 and W1 swore to the verbally provided statements. V1 did not sustain any obvious visible injuries during the incident. Digital photographs of V1 were collected. D1 confessed to retrieving the revolver but denied threatening V1 or W1 with it. D1 stated he attempted to take his own life with the firearm. D1 was arrested and transported to jail. A copy of the report was forwarded to DCF. RPO paperwork was completed and sent to the VSO General Counsel. Case Status: CBA.

D1 became annoyed with V1's actions, D1 threw a toy truck at V1 striking her with it and grabbed her by the hair. While D1 was holding V1 by the hair, D1 swung V1 into a granite counter causing V1 to strike her head. W1 stated he observed the attack in its entirety and attempted to stop D1's actions but was unsuccessful. W1 completed a sworn written statement. O1 stated he wanted to pursue charges on behalf of V1. V1 sustained injuries consistent with the information provided on scene. V1 was assessed by Fire Rescue and ultimately transported to a local hospital for further treatment for her injuries. All necessary DV paperwork was completed to include a Lethality Assessment. Digital photographs of V1's injuries were collected. O1 advised this is not the first time D1 has attacked family members without being provoked. O1 said he is concerned about his family's safety.  D1 confessed to attacking V1 and had no remorse for her actions. D1 was placed under arrest and transported to the FRC. Director Quann was notified and the report was forwarded to DCF. Case Status: CBA.

Despite V1's effort to regain possession of the property S1 kept the property. V1 completed a sworn written statement detailing he wanted to pursue charges. Case Status: Active.

  V1 and S1 live together as a family unit. An argument between V1 and D1 escalated over infidelity. During this altercation, S1 grabbed V1 and slammed her to the ground, causing an injury to her head. V1 ran to her daughter's room, followed by S1, who pinned her against the bed and tried to silence her. V1 eventually left the residence and went to the hospital for treatment of soreness from the incident. Deputies were unable to reach S1, and a Pass on affidavit was completed.

V1, V2, and D1 live together as a family unit. An argument between V1 and D1 escalated when D1 threw a bowl of baked beans on the floor in front of V1's room. Following that, D1 spat on V1, struck him, and kicked him, which resulted in V1's shirt being torn. During the altercation with V1, D1 also spat at V2. Both V1 and V2 declined medical attention. D1 was arrested and transported to VCBJ.

V1 estimated the total value of the stolen property to exceed $10,000. V1 stated he had allowed S1 to live in the attached garage but never granted S1 permission to enter or remove anything from the main portion of the residence. V1 completed and signed a sworn written statement detailing he wanted to pursue charges. W1 stated he observed a male and female at the residence in early September. W1 provided digital photographs and video footage of the subjects. CSU responded and assisted with processing V1's gun safe collecting multiple latent prints. A pawn inquiry revealed S1 pawned one of the reported stolen firearms at a pawn shop in Palatka. S1 is on active felony probation and appears he may have removed his community control device. V1 located a magnetic tracking device affixed to his vehicle's front passenger side wheel well. V1 was unable to provide any suspect or additional information about who or why someone would want to track his location. V1 advised he did recently inform O1 he wanted a divorce. V1 completed and signed a sworn written statement detailing he wanted to pursue charges. O1 stated she did not know who or why someone would place a tracking device on V1's vehicle. D1 and O2 were in a verbal argument over D1's driving pattern as a new driver on the road.  During an argument which took place at their residence, D1 walked away from O2, tripped and fell into O1.  As a result, D1 began to physically fight O1 at which time V1 stepped in to break up the physical altercation.  As V1 was breaking the altercation up, D1 grabbed V1 by the right side of her face pulling her through the hallway which caused minor lacerations to her face.  V1 declined any medical attention on scene. D1 was arrested and transported to the Family Resource Center.  Director Quann and DCF were notified.

**Introduction of Contraband into a Correctional Facility**

Deputy Wells delivered the D1 to the Volusia County Branch Jail. During D1's persons/strip search at the jail, corrections officers located a green glass smoking device with residue coding the interior. The pipe was located inside of D1's vagina. During the initial incident of a stolen vehicle, D1 was searched by Deland Police Officer, Jessica Hoffman. Deputy Wells charged D1 with smuggling contraband into a correctional detention facility.

V1 and D1 are mutual friends.  V1 picked up D1 at the intersection of W. Beresford and S. Stone Street to assist with moving residential locations from Deland area to Deleon Springs.  V1 stopped at his residence to go to the bathroom and get a snack, leaving D1 in the vehicle as the only occupant.  When V1 returned outside, he observed his vehicle was gone from his driveway.  D1 had taken V1's vehicle without permission.  V1 called 9-1-1 and was able to provide dispatch with updated locations of his vehicle due to a tracking device.  The vehicle was spotted in the area of SR44 and N. Kepler Road by Deputy Acosta.  A felony stop was conducted on the vehicle at which time D2 was driving, D1 in the front passenger seat, and O1 in the backseat.  D1 and D2 were arrested and transported to the VCBJ.
