Communications - Dedication

On Feb. 27 2013, the ribbon was cut to commemorate the grand opening of the county’s new Emergency Operations and Sheriff’s Communications Center. The Sheriff’s Office’s portion of the building will be named in honor of former Chief Deputy Bill Lee.

On this, the 27th day of February, 2013, we dedicate the Sheriff’s Communications Center in loving remembrance of former Chief Deputy Bill Lee.

This state-of-the-art facility, as well as the vision of a unified emergency dispatch system to serve the citizens of Volusia County and all public safety agencies in the county, could not have been realized without the dedication, professionalism and tireless efforts of Chief Lee. May the important work performed by all who enter this building be blessed by his memory.
