V1 and V2 are D1's parents and live together as a family unit. D1 was involved in a verbal argument with V1 and V2. The argument escalated and became physical when D1 shoved both V1 and V2. During the incident, D1 also grabbed V1 by the throat and constricted her breathing. D1 fled the scene and was unable to be located at that time.

V1's and V2's injuries were consistent with their accounts and did not require medical treatment. Prior to the completion of this report, D1 later returned to the residence and barricaded himself in his room. Deputies were able to secure the residence and communicate with D1. D1 was convinced to exit the room and surrendered without further incident. Case Status: CBA

V1 was contacted by an unknown subject in reference to opening a business account. S1 sent V1 fraudulent checks and requested that she send $1,600 from her Chime account. V1 complied and was ultimately unable to cash the checks provided to her. V1 provided bank statements and screenshots of the correspondence.

V1 arrived at the Dollar General located at 2110 E. International Speedway Blvd, DeLand. V1 parked his camouflage-colored Coleman minibike on the side of the building and, upon returning, discovered it was missing. V1 advised that he did not give anyone permission to take his vehicle and wished to press charges if a suspect is located. Deputies canvassed the area and spoke with employees at the Dollar General but were unable to develop any further leads at this time. Case Status: Active.

D1 entered the Neighborhood Walmart located at 955 S. Woodland Blvd. D1 obtained a package of ribeye steak and two packs of Reese's baking chips totaling $26.79. D1 concealed the items in his pants and passed all points of sale without attempting to pay. Deputies located D1, who later admitted to taking the items. D1 was arrested and charged accordingly.
