Video: K-9 Tracks Down Aggravated Battery Suspect Hiding In Tree

TRACK ALONG WITH K-9 RED: This weekend, deputies responded to an aggravated battery incident off Collins Road in the Osteen area, where a woman reported her boyfriend hit her, pointed a gun at her and struck her in the head with the reel end of a fishing pole.

The suspect was not on scene when deputies arrived, but they tracked him down hiding in a tree.

The victim had a laceration to her head that was treated on scene. The suspect, Henry Purdue (DOB 5/22/1978) was charged with aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and grand theft firearm. He is in the Volusia County Branch Jail as of this post with a bond of $40,000.
