Video: Arrests Announced In Mob Beating At Weekend Bonfire

Ten individuals ranging in age from 16 to 20 have been identified and are facing charges in a mob attack on multiple victims during bonfire gatherings this weekend.

The incident was reported during the early morning hours Saturday after the victims were treated for injuries at an area hospital.

On Wednesday, Sheriff Mike Chitwood answered questions on the active investigation and provided an update on the status of several pending arrests:

Update (1/30/25):

These are the 10 defendants charged in this weekend's mob beating incident.

Seven have been arrested as of this posting, with 3 arrest warrants still active.

Adults:

Dillon R. Harris (DOB 12/23/2006): Active warrant for 3 counts aggravated battery, 1 count inciting a riot.

Dalton L. Bellantoni (DOB 9/9/2004): Active warrant for aggravated battery and inciting a riot.

Christopher S. Sappa (DOB 5/18/2004): Arrested for 3 counts aggravated battery, 1 count inciting a riot, $80,000 total bond.

Devon C. Heil (DOB 1/30/2005): Arrested for aggravated battery and inciting a riot. No bond at first appearance (bond revoked reference a recent arrest in Deltona for grand theft).

Drake A. Meyers (DOB 9/20/2005): Arrested for aggravated battery and inciting a riot. No bond pending first appearance.

Skylar A. Degroff (DOB 9/7/2006): Arrested for robbery and inciting a riot. No bond pending first appearance.

Juveniles:

Antonio M. Gardner (DOB 3/7/2007): Active warrant for aggravated battery and inciting a riot.

Eric M. Secundino (DOB 9/7/2007): Arrested for aggravated battery and inciting a riot, ordered to be held in secure detention at DJJ.

Brett E. Shelton (DOB 9/11/2007): Arrested for aggravated battery and inciting a riot, ordered to be held in secure detention at DJJ.

Carter M. Wright (DOB 6/1/2008): Arrested for aggravated battery and inciting a riot, ordered to be held in secure detention at DJJ.
