3 ARRESTED IN SHOOTING AT DELTONA PARK

Two teenagers and a 24-year-old man have been arrested in this week's shooting incident at Wes Crile Park in Deltona.

As they continue to investigate, VSO detectives are asking any additional witnesses or potential victims to come forward.

Deputies responded to the park at 1537 Norbert Terrace around 5:38 p.m. Tuesday after witnesses heard gunshots and spotted the three young men involved.

Park surveillance cameras also captured the incident, and analysts with the Volusia County Crime Center quickly got video footage to deputies and detectives on scene at the park.

Detectives determined that 24-year-old Ethan Fontaine (DOB 2/25/2000) had arrived at the park to meet 17-year-old Sean Campbell (DOB 3/14/2007) and 16-year-old Terrell Montgomery Jr. (DOB 2/12/2008) for a drug transaction.

During the exchange, the two teenagers pulled handguns and robbed Fontaine at gunpoint.

Fontaine left, then returned with a rifle and pointed it at the teenagers who just robbed him. They responded by pulling their handguns. Two shots were fired in Fontaine's direction, but he wasn't hit.

Deputies tracked down Campbell and Montgomery the same evening, took them into custody, and recovered firearms, ammunition and other evidence connected to the shooting.

Both teenagers were charged with shooting at a public building, and Campbell was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a juvenile and carrying a concealed weapon. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Fontaine was arrested Wednesday and charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as violation of felony probation.

The incident disrupted park activities including primary voting, and some potential witnesses left the area for safety. There are no indications anyone was injured during the incident.
