Date Added: January 14, 2026 4:03 pm
CASE UPDATE: The defendant in this case (29-year-old Emmanuel Edgardo Trujillo of Deltona) has been charged with additional counts.
A forensic examination of Trujillo's devices identified another juvenile victim, in addition to the one contacted in the initial investigation. Both are under the age of 16.
Similar to the first case, Trujillo bought the girl gifts and solicited nude photos. In this case, he also met her in person and committed a sexual act.
Trujillo attempted to set up further meetings and encouraged the child to involve her friends, which she refused.
Since Dec. 19, Trujillo has remained in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bond on his prior charges from this investigation.
Today, his new charges include 9 counts of possession of CP, lewd or lascivious battery on a child, lewd or lascivious conduct, using a computer to solicit a child, unlawful use of a 2-way device to commit a felony, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Earlier post (Dec. 19, 2025):
This morning, VSO detectives conducted a residential search warrant at 973 Halstead Street in Deltona. Multiple electronics were seized from the residence. Emmanuel Edgardo Trujillo was arrested on scene and charged with Possession of Child Pornography (x4), Directing sexual performance of a child (x5), Using a computer to solicit a child while misrepresenting age, Illegal use of a two-way device, and Contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
In October of 2025, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office received a Cybertip in reference to the suspect interacting with and soliciting 13–16-year-old females for sexual pictures in exchange for vapes/drugs/gifts online. Additionally, it is believed the suspect has met up with at least one juvenile and received sexual favors for the same items.
Through a two-month investigation, detectives were able to retrieve additional information from accounts, identify the suspect and ascertain where he was living. Detectives were also able to identify one of the victims, a juvenile under the age of 16, who was interviewed and identified the suspect. If you believe you are, or know someone who may be, a victim of this individual, please contact the Volusia Sheriff’s Office at childexploitationunit@volusiasheriff.gov.
Additional charges will be pending a complete forensic examination.
