Man Found Deceased In Woods Near DeLand; No Foul Play Suspected

MAN FOUND DECEASED IN WOODS NEAR DELAND; NO FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED

Detectives have identified and notified the next of kin of a man found deceased in the woods this week behind the Goodwill store in DeLand.

Deputies responded to the wooded area behind 1600 N. Woodland Blvd. on Wednesday afternoon after a person reported finding a male body at the end of a trail in the woods. The surrounding area is populated by campsites.

There were no indications of foul play or suspicious circumstances.

The deceased has been positively identified as 40-year-old Cody Stover. His official cause of death is pending the completion of a full autopsy report.
