Deltona man arrested again on new charges in CP investigation

Hector Martinez Montanez, 19, Deltona, has been arrested on additional charges from a VSO Child Exploitation Unit investigation.

Montanez was initially charged with 10 counts of possession of CP back on April 6 after detectives seized his electronics on a search warrant stemming from a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This weekend, Montanez was arrested on additional charges of generating and promoting altered sexual depictions of a person without their consent. Detectives found evidence that Hector had uploaded clothed photos of someone he knows, using an A.I. “undresser” app to generate altered nude photos. The victim's age in the source photos was 15.

Montanez is in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail with a total bond of $275,000.
