Seven suspects who traveled to meet a minor in Volusia County have been arrested in Operation Tor/Pedo.

From July 9-11, this joint undercover operation targeted individuals using apps and the Internet to target, meet and exploit children.

The arrests included the head of Volusia Lacrosse, a co-ed youth lacrosse league:

Robert James "Coach Rosco" Rece, 38, DeLeon Springs, was taken into custody Saturday after he traveled to a gas station in Deltona to meet up with a "child" he met online.

Others arrested were:

Colton James Gregory, 19, Eustis
Brandon Pierre Rutledge, 35, Altamonte Springs
Logan Banks, 32, Madison, TN
Dion Kendal Jackson, 31, Daytona Beach
Felix Mendez II, 28, Port Orange
Temur Khujabekov, 31, Orlando (on tourist visa from Uzbekistan)

Their charges are traveling to meet a minor, using a computer/Internet service to solicit a minor, and unlawful use of a 2-way communication device.

The operation was a joint effort between VSO, the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Port Orange PD, Daytona Beach PD, South Daytona PD, Homeland Security Investigations, and the State Attorney for Florida's 7th Circuit.
