WOMAN INTENTIONALLY DRIVES CAR INTO POND

On May 24, 2019, at 10:47 a.m., the Port Orange Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle in a retention pond at 900 N. Swallowtail Drive. The driver, a 54 y.o.a. female from Boynton Beach, was removed from the vehicle by a citizen prior to our arrival. The female was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Upon initial investigation, it appeared the female intentionally drove the vehicle into the pond. The female was uninjured but was taken to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach for evaluation.
