TWO WOMAN ARRESTED IN ROBBERY OF THE REGIONS BANK

On January 24th, 2018 at approximately 11:07 AM, Orange City Police were dispatched to the Regions Bank located at 2626 Enterprise Rd regarding an armed bank robbery in progress. It was reported there were two female suspects inside the bank. One suspect displayed a gun in her purse asking for money, while the second female suspect acted as a look out. There were no other customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. Officers quickly arrived on scene and with the assistance of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office surrounded the bank. Two white females, later identified as Tiffany Ann Fleming, (DOB 07-09-1982) and Tanya Morrison (DOB 02-11-1976), were apprehended immediately as they attempted to exit the bank via the front door.

Further investigation revealed Fleming entered the bank and requested to speak with the assistant manager. While speaking with the assistant manager, she displayed the barrel of a gun and requested money. Morrison remained in the lobby and acting as a look out for Fleming. The assistant manager was able to alert her employees, who subsequently activated the silent hold up alarm. A black paint ball gun was recovered in Fleming’s purse. The suspects fled the bank prior to receiving any money. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Orange City Police Department for processing and subsequently to the Volusia County Branch Jail on charges of; Armed Robbery (Fleming) and Principal to Armed Robbery (Morrison). There were no injuries sustained in the incident.
