DELTONA MAN, 40, DIES OF INJURIES FROM SKATEBOARD ACCIDENT

A Deltona man has died of his injuries following a tragic accident while riding a motorized skateboard.

Joshua Lloyd, 40, was riding the skateboard Sunday evening in the area of Rookery Avenue and Phonetia Drive. The accident occurred when Lloyd lost control of the skateboard and fell on pavement, severely injuring his head.

Lloyd was flown by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office helicopter Air One to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford for treatment. On Monday, he succumbed to his injuries.
