ONE KILLED, FOUR INJURED IN MULTIPLE VEHICLE WRECK

Update: 05/10/19 - 12:03 p.m.

The identity of the person who was killed in Thursday’s crash is April Angela Wilson, 62 (DOB: 07/20/1956), Daytona Beach.

According to a preliminary investigation, three vehicles were stopped in the eastbound lanes of International Speedway Boulevard at Jacobs Road when a pickup truck came up to the intersection and for unknown reasons did not slow down and struck a silver BMW. That caused a chain reaction crash with the two vehicles in front of the BMW.

Wilson was in the backseat of the BMW struck by the pickup truck. The child was also in the BMW and is expected to be OK.

All others who were injured in the wreck are expected to survive as well.

The crash remains under investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
