SUSPECT ARRESTED IN TACO BELL ROBBERY

DeLand Police have made an arrest in connection to a Tuesday morning robbery at a Taco Bell.

Detectives on Friday charged Jason Klokow, 37, with robbery with a deadly weapon stemming from an incident that occurred at Taco Bell, 1501 North Woodland Boulevard.

Restaurant employees told police a suspect, later identified as Klokow, placed an order and then handed a note to the employee at the drive-thru window. As one of the workers handed money over to Klokow, he sprayed a chemical in the face of one of the employees.

Klokow was arrested Wednesday morning in connection to a robbery at a Taco Bell in Palm Coast that resulted in a Flagler County deputy being injured during a pursuit that spilled into Volusia County. He was later positively identified as being involved in the DeLand robbery. He also confessed to authorities to the robbery at the Taco Bell in DeLand.

It is believed Klokow was alone at the time of the DeLand incident and there are no further arrests expected in this case.

Klokow is currently being held on no bond at the Volusia County Branch Jail in Daytona Beach.
