VSO Detectives Arrest Man, 28, in Weekend Robbery of Deltona Store

Deltona Discount Market Robbed Twice in Recent Weeks; 1 in Custody, Another Sought in Unrelated Incident Nov. 10

Volusia sheriff's detectives have arrested a 28-year-old Deltona man and charged him with armed robbery of the Deltona Discount Market located at 785 Deltona Blvd.

Eddy Mojica (DOB 10/16/1993) entered the store Sunday afternoon about 3:42 p.m. and flashed a knife in his waistband. He demanded the clerk give him money from the register. The clerk complied, giving him $300 to $400, and the suspect fled in an unknown vehicle.

Mojica was located Monday in Deltona after his vehicle matched the suspect description in this case. After detectives interviewed him, Mojica was arrested and charged with armed robbery. He was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail where he is being held pending a court appearance today.

Sunday's robbery of the Deltona Discount Market is the second in recent weeks. Detectives are searching for suspect Da'Querious Stewart, 19, in an unrelated robbery that occurred there Nov. 10.
