ORANGE CITY MAN KILLED IN WEEKEND ACCIDENT

An Orange City man was killed this weekend when a utility vehicle that was stuck on a hill rolled on top of him as he tried to free it.

Deputies and firefighters responded to 920 Grand Ave., Orange City, around 5:40 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses reported 38-year-old Christopher Guse was riding a side-by-side around the property when it became stuck on the edge of a hill. Guse got out of the vehicle, then returned to it and began to climb inside, causing it to shift and break free. As Guse tried to get out of the vehicle’s path, it rolled over him and down the hill.

Guse was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
