DELTONA MAN KILLED IN TRAFFIC CRASH

A Deltona man was killed in a crash on Howland Boulevard this weekend after he lost control of his car during heavy rain.

Deputies responded to the scene in the area of Howland and Chilton Street in Deltona around 12:50 p.m. Saturday. Three vehicles were involved in the crash.

The driver who lost control of his car, 31-year-old Sabbeer White, was pronounced deceased on scene.

The initial crash investigation indicated White was traveling south on Howland when his car spun 180 degrees and crossed over the median into the northbound lanes, where two oncoming vehicles struck the car.

The other two drivers had minor injuries that did not require transport. Traffic on Howland Boulevard was shut down for several hours following the crash, reopening Saturday evening.

Weather conditions and speed appeared to be contributing factors to White losing control of his car. He was not wearing a seatbelt. The traffic crash investigation is active.
