Astor Man Arrested After Search Warrant Reveals Child Pornography, Graphic Materials

ASTOR MAN ARRESTED AFTER SEARCH WARRANT REVEALS CHILD PORNOGRAPHY, GRAPHIC MATERIALS

A Volusia County man has been arrested on more than 2 dozen child pornography charges after a search warrant revealed graphic files on his phone and USB device.

Troy L. Sautbine, 50 (DOB 1/12/1973), of Camp South Moon Road in Astor, was arrested Friday on 25 counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child and remains in custody today on $625,000 bond.

His arrest followed a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which alerted detectives to a file uploaded to a social media account later determined to be Sautbine’s. After obtaining a search warrant for the account, detectives discovered multiple photos of women, teenage girls and young children. Also discovered were multiple comments from Sautbine’s social media account describing his attraction to children and desire to sexually abuse them.

In executing a search warrant, detectives discovered 25 video files depicting sexual abuse of girls estimated to range from the age of a baby or toddler to 10 years old. Detectives also recovered Word documents stored on Sautbine’s phone containing short stories describing sexual abuse of children, cannibalism and other acts of violence.

Sautbine was asked about the graphic written content and indicated he was participating in a role-playing fantasy.

At this point in the investigation, the VSO Child Exploitation Unit has not identified any victims of abuse. It appears the files in Sautbine’s possession were downloaded, not produced locally.
