TWO MORE ILLEGAL GAMBLING ROOMS SHUT DOWN IN DELTONA AND SOUTH DAYTONA

Two more illegal gambling rooms were shut down by Volusia County sheriff’s detectives on Wednesday, with several more computers and games seized along with several thousand dollars in cash.

The locations were in South Daytona (PrintCo, 2030 S. Ridgewood Ave.) and Deltona (Print Planet, 1200 Deltona Blvd, Suites 61 and 62).

At the South Daytona location, VCSO’s East Volusia Narcotics Task Force with the assistance of the South Daytona Police Department seized 90 gambling machines and $11,599 in cash.

At the Deltona location, members of VCSO’s West Volusia Narcotics Task Force, Deltona Narcotics Enforcement Team and Crime Suppression Team seized 94 machines and $16,366 in cash.

Criminal charges against several individuals involved in the gambling rooms are pending further investigation. Two patrons were arrested at the South Daytona location, one for possession of methamphetamine and one for a writ of attachment for child support.
