2 DELAND-AREA HOMICIDE CASES FROM RECENT YEARS SOLVED

One suspect is in custody while Sheriff Chitwood is offering a $25,000 reward for the other

The VSO Major Case Unit has solved two DeLand-area homicides from 2022 and 2023, with one defendant in custody and another the subject of a $25,000 reward, Sheriff Mike Chitwood announced today.

In the first case, Jasmoray Baugh, 30 (DOB 11/27/1993), of DeLand, has been charged with second-degree murder in the Dec. 11, 2022, shooting death of Korey Woulard, the father of her child.

Using witness information, cell data and surveillance video, detectives determined Baugh followed Woulard after an argument, then shot him in the middle of the road in the 300 block of Chipola Avenue, DeLand.

Baugh was arrested without incident Tuesday in the DeLand area.

In the second case, Joel Alonzo-Cisneros, 36 (DOB 8/8/1987), whereabouts unknown, is charged with second-degree murder in the Dec. 2, 2023, shooting death of his father-in-law, Hector Hernandez-Pasquale, in the front yard of 808 S. Massachusetts Ave., DeLand.

A $25,000 reward is available for information leading to the arrest of Cisneros, who is believed to have fled the state of Florida. If you have information, contact the Major Case Unit at 386-254-1537 or ColdCaseUnitTips@volusiasheriff.gov.
