UPDATE: 07/06/18 - 12:32 p.m.

The Port Orange Police Department Detective Division, with the assistance of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit and the Volusia County Medical Examiner’s Office, concluded the on-scene investigation at 860 Canal View Blvd at about 12:00am July 6, 2018, and determined the death was not the result of any criminal activity. 

The deceased was identified as Michael Vincentz, 58 years old, who recently moved to Port Orange. Mr. Vincentz’s family has been informed of his passing and will contact the VCME’s office regarding funeral arrangements.

POLICE INVESTIGATING DEATH ON CANAL VIEW BOULEVARD

The Port Orange Police Department detectives are currently investigating a suspicious death at 860 Canal View Blvd. Crime Scene Technicians from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office are assisting with the processing of the scene.  

At this time, no further information is available for release, however, updates will be provided as information comes available.
