TWO JUVENILES ARRESTED FOR CARJACKING

On January 16^th, 2017 at approximately 9:50 p.m., a carjacking with a firearm occurred at the Sunset Cove Apartments located near Clyde Morris Blvd. and Beacon Hill Rd. An area wide BOLO was given out for a black Mercedes Benz and blue Ford Mustang which were observed a short time later by the Daytona Beach Police Department. Based upon the severity of the crime which occurred, DBPD and other area agencies pursued the Mercedes and the Mustang with both vehicles eventually crashing in different locations. The occupants of both vehicles were taken into custody with no significant injuries reported by the suspects or officers involved. Atravion J. Virgil (DOB 10/29/98), Tyrell J. Stewart (DOB 11/19/98), and two juvenile males were arrested and charged with Carjacking.

The victim was unhurt and all personal property has been recovered.
