PORT ORANGE POLICE INVESTIGATING BODY FOUND IN HOUSE FIRE
UPDATE: July 30, 2020 - 4:38 p.m.
In regards to the above incident number, the Port Orange Police Department is now working the investigation as an active Homicide investigation. Further information will be released as it becomes available.

On July 29, 2020 an autopsy of Elizabeth Adams was completed by the Volusia County Medical Examiner’s Office, after her body was found in a burning structure fire on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. As a result of the preliminary findings, the Port Orange Police Department is actively working the investigation as a suspicious death investigation.
