Police Investigating Body Found In Woods

UPDATE: 8:11 p.m.

The body is that of a male who had a history of health-related issues. Based on evidence found at the scene, the death does NOT appear to be suspicious. For news crews interested in going to the scene, the body was found in a densely-wooded area north of North Sheridan Avenue, which is off of New York Avenue.

POLICE INVESTIGATING BODY FOUND IN WOODS

DeLand Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in west DeLand.

Officers found the body about 5:30 p.m. Thursday in a wooded area near the intersection of Spring Garden and Minnesota Avenue.
