A fourth suspect – Steven Gardner (DOB: 2/21/1987) – was arrested today by the DeLand Police Department along with the help of the USMS Florida/Caribbean Regional Task Force and the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. He has been charged with second-degree felony murder in connection to the Walts Avenue shooting that occurred in June. He has been booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bond.

THREE CHARGED WITH SECOND-DEGREE MURDER IN CONNECTION TO JUNE SHOOTING
Three men have been arrested in connection to a shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead.
Police responded to a June 20 shooting at 236 Walts Avenue where a man, later identified as Tyrique Seamster, had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. He later died at Halifax Health Medical Center.
According to the investigation, Dervonte Somers, 24, Keith Johnson, 21 and Ralpheal Brown, 27, entered a house uninvited and confronted someone over a stolen gun. A shootout ensued, resulting in multiple injuries and the death of Seamster.
Somers, Johnson and Brown have all been charged with second-degree felony murder.
The case remains under investigation.
