MAN FALLS TO DEATH IN DAYTONA BEACH SHORES 

On Sunday night shortly, after 10:00 PM, officers of Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety responded to reports that a male that had jumped off the fifth floor of Sea Club IV located at 3229 South Atlantic Ave. One caller advised that it appeared as though the man had “leaped” off the building.

Arriving officers found the male deceased on a walkway on the north side of the property. The decedent was identified as Delroy Chance, 25, of Toledo Ohio. Mr. Chance was in town on vacation with family at the time of the incident and a guest of the hotel.

Independent witnesses confirmed that Mr. Chance was running on the fifth floor when he jumped over the railing. There was no indication that any other persons were involved, and the incident remains under investigation.
