We have identified the female as Olympia Cerruti B/F 12/28/82 and notified her next of kin. 

The investigation continues with no arrests at this time.

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES OFFICERS INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE

On Friday, September 22, 2017, at 5:23 a.m., officers of the Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety responded to the Hawaiian Inn located at 2301 South Atlantic Avenue regarding a CPR call in progress.  Responding officers found a 34-year-old female suffering from a traumatic injury in full cardiac arrest.  Resuscitative efforts were unsuccessful, and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators are interviewing multiple witnesses and the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is processing the crime scene.  The case is being treated as a homicide. 

The identity of the victim will be withheld until notification of next of kin can be made.  This investigation is in its incipient stages and more information will be released as it becomes available.
