ONE DIES IN HOUSE FIRE ON MILLBROOK AVENUE 

On October 4, 2020 at approximately 0237 hours the Port Orange Police Department was dispatched along with Port Orange Fire Rescue to 1157 Millbrook Ave in reference to a structure fire.

Upon arrival, the residence was fully involved and one resident, Denise Nichols, age 42, was found deceased. Both the Port Orange Fire Marshall and State Fire Marshall were contacted and responded to the scene. At this time, the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature. An autopsy is pending.
