CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBER ARRESTED 

On October 5th, 2016 at approximately 1:15 AM, Orange City Police responded to the Kangaroo Express store located at 1701 North Volusia Ave regarding a robbery, with an implied weapon. Once on scene, store clerk and witness advised arriving officers a suspect later identified as Robert Boudreaux, (DOB 12-25-1980) entered the store and demanded money from the clerk, implying that he was armed with a weapon. Boudreaux reached into the cash register taking an undisclosed amount of cash. Although a weapon was not displayed, Boudreaux’s actions made the clerk and witness believe he was armed with a weapon. Boudreaux fled the store on foot towards the rear of the business. Orange City officers developed a suspect and a bulletin was issued to locate Boudreaux. Boudreaux was located a few hours later by Orange City officers. Boudreaux was placed under arrest by Orange City Police units without incident. He was transported to the Orange City Police Department for processing and subsequently to the Volusia County Branch Jail on charges of; Robbery. There were no injuries sustained in the incident.
