Andrew Gant is the director of the Office of Public Affairs & Media Relations for the Volusia Sheriff’s Office. He joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2014 and was promoted to his current role in 2017. He is a graduate of Truman State University and the Florida Center for Public Management at Florida State University. Prior to joining the Sheriff’s Office, he covered crime and government for several newspapers in Florida, including the Daytona Beach News-Journal. He lives in DeLand with his wife and canines.
